Tijuana

A super pricey but OH-SO-CONVENIENT bridge across the border has been built from the TJ airport to San Diego.   This had us across the border in literally no time after landing.  We hopped in an Uber and made our way to the shopping center containing the Costco our meds were at and a Petco that sells dehydrated dog food.  Across the street was a motel that was totally fine by the standards we’d become accustomed to so far on our trip.  It even had a bathtub, which is unheard of in Mexico.  The bathtub was grimy, and had a bunch of someone else’s hair in it, but hey.  A scrub with a bar of soap and washcloth and it was fine to bathe my child in.

The next morning, with our bags packed full of expensive (seriously…..OMG) malaria medications, dog medications, and dehydrated dog food, we made our way back across the border bridge and onto a flight to La Paz with tourist cards in hand.
